ABOUT ORGANICALLY GOOD TRIO (ORGANICALLYGOODTRIO.COM)
Organically Good Trio is a Hammond organ trio with a reggae spin out of Boston. The band has created a new sound among the growing reggae scene and combines a mixture of reggae, soul, and boogaloo. Founded by Slightly Stoopid keyboard player Paul Wolstencroft, the band has a heavy influence from Jamaican organ legend Jackie Mittoo, as well as the classic boogaloo albums of the late 60's - Boston Veteran Tommy Benedetti (John Brown's Body) holds down the steady rhythm of the drums, and Van Gordon Martin, (Dub Apocalypse, John Brown's Body) blazes rhythms and solos alike on the guitar. Aside from touring the New England scene for the last 5 years, OGT also has 4 albums to date - Alakazam, Monster Sound, Blazin in Brooklyn, and Lunar Dub.
An Evening with Gorilla Finger Dub
Gorilla Finger Dub, a stalwart of the Maine reggae / dub scene, return to Bayside Bowl on Saturday, November 16th. (All-Ages $15 adv, $20 door)
ABOUT GORILLA FINGER DUB:
The idea of Gorilla Finger Dub sparked in the mind of Eric Dudevoir (bass) when he heard Chris Boivin (lead vocals, guitar) busking in the streets of downtown Portland, Maine. The idea started off as a weekly musical gathering of like-minded locals, and once each band member emerged and settled into their roles, the idea evolved into the band: Chris and Eric welcomed Samuel Belanger (drums, vocals), Steve Martin (lead guitar), Robbie Cooper (keys), and Mike Rice (percussion) into the collective.
After recording their debut album Cool It Down in 2011, the band hit the northeast regional scene showcasing an original sound and style known as soul-rock reggae, and pushing each performance to the edge with their live improvisations and jams. Naturally, the second album was recorded live. Live on 4/20 released in 2020. Each year Gorilla Finger has honored their biggest inspiration, Bob Marley, with a tribute show on his birthday – an annual event that has grown fast over the last 8 years, and has been enjoyed by thousands. Joining them each year on saxophone is Glen DaCosta of the original Bob Marley & The Wailers.
Gorilla Finger has shared the stage with many of their other inspirations; Steel Pulse, The Wailers, Ziggy Marley, Inner Circle, and Yellowman to name a few. Currently the band is working on their third studio album, which will no doubt expand on their signature soul-rock reggae sound. For more info please visit: GORILLAFINGERDUB.COM

R.A. The Rugged Man w/s/gs akrobatik, OystahGutt, Ben Shorr, dj myth
TIX $20 ADV, $30 DOOR (All-Ages)
Legendary MC, R.A. The Rugged Man. brings his Rough, Rugged, and Raw Tour 2024 to Bayside Bowl on Saturday NOV.23 w/s/gs Akrobatik + OystahGutt + Ben Shorr. The show is all-ages.
ABOUT R.A. THE RUGGED MAN (RATHERUGGEDMAN.NET)
R.A. The Rugged Man is one of the most fascinating figures in hip-hop history. His career spans decades, and defies simple narratives. The Rugged Man has been an up-and-coming star, an industry outcast banished and forgotten, an underground cult hero, an independent success story, and an influential master of the art form. He can obliterate rappers with ferocious battle rhymes, craft heartfelt personal songs fans can relate to, offend sensitive listeners with shocking vulgarity, challenge corrupt politicians and corporations, paint pictures with captivating storytelling, and deliver jaw-dropping flows that prove his lyrical skills are unmatched. He’s also worked with a staggering number of hip-hop’s most respected artists, including legends like The Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang, Tech N9ne, Rakim, Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli, Kool G Rap, Public Enemy, Brother Ali, and many more. And while others struggle to maintain a foothold in the ever-changing rap landscape, R.A. The Rugged Man is the rare artist who has become more relevant with time, with each new album more compelling than the last.
Originally from Long Island’s Suffolk County, R.A. was raised by his father, a Vietnam veteran whose exposure to Agent Orange left two of R.A.’s siblings with severe disabilities. After building a reputation as one of the most talented unsigned MCs on the scene, he sparked a bidding war between several major labels. R.A. eventually signed to Jive Records, but his outspoken defiance and reckless behavior spelled the end of that deal and left him banned from venues, labels, and recording studios. The Rugged Man re-emerged in the late 90s, pioneering the indie rap hustle by pressing up his own 12” singles and contributing to compilations from the celebrated Rawkus Records. He earned a Gold record for his work on the WWE Aggression album, and his music was featured on the video game Tony Hawk’s Underground, which sold millions of copies.
R.A. then unleashed his seminal independent album Die, Rugged Man, Die, along with the critically acclaimed compilation Legendary Classics. The latter included show-stealing collaborations and many of the storied tracks that fueled his rise, including the Jedi Mind Tricks song “Uncommon Valor”, on which the Rugged Man delivers what is widely recognized as one of the greatest verses in rap history. R.A. has also made his mark in journalism and film. He's interviewed Academy Award winning filmmakers and world boxing champions for outlets like Complex and Vibe, and worked as a screenwriter and director, notably writing and producing the cult classic Bad Biology. By the time his last album Legends Never Die debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, R.A. was thoroughly established as an independent hip-hop icon, playing sold-out shows across the world and drawing widespread praise for his undeniable contributions to the culture.
Now, R.A. The Rugged Man is back with All My Heroes Are Dead, a brand new album that stands as his best work to date. “So many of the greats are gone, and the legends who made it out alive are cast aside,” R.A. says. “Society left our heroes and their culture for dead. We have to dig that greatness out of its grave, and bring it back with an angry vengeance.” While Legends Never Die was dedicated to the memory of his father, All My Heroes Are Dead is R.A.’s first album since becoming a father of two himself. “When you have children, that’s a whole other level of joy and pain and emotion,” he describes. “It opens whole entire universes with the pen.” The music covers a wide range of moods, and transcends hip-hop cliches. “I didn’t want to make a whole album of just destroying rappers and rapping better than everyone.” the Rugged Man explains. “There’s a lot of places my albums take you, and there’s way more storytelling on this one. I love to bring listeners into different worlds.” Now available worldwide, All My Heroes Are Deadfeatures an all-star cast of hip-hop heavyweights, including Chuck D, Slug of Atmosphere, Ghostface Killah, Immortal Technique, Vinnie Paz, Ice-T, M.O.P., Kool G Rap, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Onyx, Brand Nubian, Chris Rivers, Inspectah Deck,A-F-R-O, Masta Killa, and more. The highly-anticipated album showcases the full scope of R.A. The Rugged Man’s considerable talent, making it a powerful statement from an unforgettable artist.

Cocktail Slippers & Stupidity w/ Tiger Bomb + Muck & The Mires
Tickets $25 adv. / $30 door (info at BAYSIDEBOWL.COM | ALL-AGES)
STUPIDITY was formed in Stockholm, Sweden by former members of Eager Beaver and The Cool Jerks. They took the name “Stupidity” from the great Solomon Burke song. Stupidity’s lead singer, Erniz Lundqvist, has probably one of the most unique voices in rock, garage or otherwise. At times, he recalls Tony Andreason of the Trashmen (“Surfin Bird”) but he has also been compared to Lux Interior of the Cramps and Iggy Pop. The other members of Stupidity are Janne Vierth on guitar, Ulrika Wennström on bass, and Tommy Boy Sjöström on drums. Together, they make music that doesn't sound like any rock band on earth. Their song "Girl Named Moe" was named the "coolest song in the world" on Sirius radio channel The Underground Garage. After "Move" was released (2011), it too was picked "coolest song in the world". When Stupidity toured the East Coast for the 6th time in a row, their next two singles, “King Midas” & "Get Up", were again picked the "coolest song in the world". Their latest single “A Monkey In A Suit (Is Still A Monkey)” has a video due out this June, and with a new LP due out this fall, expect to see more STUPIDITY songs on "cool record" charts everywhere!
COCKTAIL SLIPPERS are a five-piece, all-female rock band from Oslo, Norway. They are known for their entertaining live rock ′n roll performances and have played alongside artists such as Nancy Sinatra, Crowded House, Elvis Costello and The Strokes. The band is continuously touring Europe and the USA.After signing with Wicked Cool Records, the Cocktail Slippers recorded their third studio album "Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre". The album was co-produced by the band and Jean Beauviour (known for producing Kiss, Blondie, and The Ramones) and features two cover songs: Lesley Gore’s “She’s a Fool” and Connie Francis’s “Don’t Ever Leave Me”. Rolling Stone magazine writer David Fricke describes the band as “Norwegian Devil Dolls" that "sing their you-done-me-wrong songs with avenging-angel-army-harmonies". Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad called the women "Norwegian Rock heroines" that "pick up where Blondie left off". Current band members are: Hope (vocals), Rocket Queen (guitar), Vega (guitar), Miss A-OK (drums) and Sugar (bass ). Cocktail Slippers formed in 2001 and has since released three studio albums and two Christmas singles. The band’s main musical influences are Blondie, The Shangri-Las, Joan Jett, Foo Fighters, The Ramones, The Go-Go’s and The Beach Boys. This tour is in support of their 4th LP, due out this fall.
Providing support for the COCKTAIL SLIPPERS and STUPIDITY are Portland's own all-female rockers TIGER BOMB who have been making big waves with their live shows all across New England. Tiger Bomb's well-anticipated 3rd LP is also due out this fall, and will be a game changer for the band who continues to impress with their growing fan base. Kicking off this incredible night is Boston's MUCK & THE MIRES, crowned the #1 Garage Rock Band by "Little Steven" Van Zandt on MTV. They have albums produced by Kim Fowley (Runaways) & Jim Diamond (White Stripes). The band has performed extensively on several continents, sharing bills with many of their heros including The Sonics, NY Dolls, Ray Davies (The Kinks), Flamin' Groovies, The Stooges, and also (thanks to their wide appeal) with contemporary artists ranging from Pete Best (The Beatles), to Dave Mathews!
This will be a night to remember!! Get your tickets now, as we are expected to sell-out before the show date!

Onyx is an American hip hop group from South Jamaica, Queens, New York. The group currently consists of Sticky Fingaz and Fredro Starr. Sonny Seeza and the late Big DS were also members, but the former left sometime in the early 2000s and the latter left before the group's second studio album. The group is known for their threatening personas and violent lyrics.
The group was formed in 1990 and released their debut single, "Ah, And We Do It Like This", that same year. The song featured light-hearted lyrics and revealed a strong jazz rap influence, noticeably more than in their later work. In 1991, the group was to present a demo to Jam Master Jay at Def Jam, but Big DS and Sonee Seeza were in Connecticut at the time, so Fredro Starr got in contact with his cousin Sticky Fingaz, who joined the group to release the single "Throw Ya Gunz" in 1992. After the release of the song, Onyx signed a recording contract with Def Jam and released the album Bacdafucup in 1993, which was met with great commercial success, including heavy airplay on radio and MTV for the single "Slam".
Big DS left the group after the release of the first album to pursue an ultimately unsuccessful solo career. In 1995, Onyx released their second albukers, Sunset Park and Dead Presidents. Onyx returned in 1998 with their third album Shut 'Em Down and released their fourth album Triggernometry in 2003 after leaving Def Jam. In 2014, the release of the album Wakedafucup marked the group's first studio album in over a decade. The band is currently back on tour and recording new music. For more info please visit:

Derrick “Duckie” Simpson the “Gong Gong Gullie” is the founder and leader for reggae’s BLACK UHURU. Although going through numerous lead singers and musicians they have remained to be one of the most recognized and prolific reggae band for over 50 years. The roots of BLACK UHURU were formed in Kingston Jamaica’s Waterhouse district also known as “Firehouse” in the early 60′s. Though considered to be one of Jamaica’s toughest neighborhoods it’s home to several other reggae singers and musicians. It was where Duckie Simpson grew up and learned to sing from boyhood friends Winston “Pipe” Matthews and Lloyd “Bread” McDonald of Wailing Souls and Bob Marley. He recorded four tracks with Wailing Souls before forming his own group. The original Uhuru’s (Swahili for freedom) were Derrick “Duckie” Simpson, Euvin “Don Carlos” Spencer and Rudolph “Garth” Dennis. They only recorded a few singles “Folk Songs” “Time Is On Our Side” and “Slow Coach” before separating. Don went solo and Garth joined Wailing Souls.
Duckie reformed the group adding Michael Rose & Errol “Tarzan” Nelson, both from Waterhouse. They recorded their debut album “Love Crises” in 1977 at Prince Jammy’s famous studio in Waterhouse on St. Lucia Road. It was later re-released as “Black Sounds Of Freedom”. Errol later left to join The Jayes. He was soon replaced by American female singer & dancer Sandra “Puma” Jones. They teamed up with drummer Sly Dunbar and bass player Robbie Shakespeare. Together they developed a musical style full of deep bass thumps, loud drum slaps, sharp keyboards, long instrumentals with guitar riffs, whirly back round noises, echos and the signature”woh oh oh’s” creating they’re “classic” sound. Producing hits like “I Love King Sellassie, “‘Shine Eye Gals”, “General Penitentary” and “What is Life”. BLACK UHURU released the albums Red, Chill Out, Sensemila and Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner and began to tour the world bringing them to international audiences. It was during this period they started to gain rapid popularity. They opened live shows for the Rolling Stones and the Police. They began to work with other well accomplished producers and musicians. Keith Richards played guitar for the “Shine Eye Gal” track. Dennis Brown “The Crown Prince of Reggae” produced the tracks “Rent Man” and Wood For My Fire”. The track” Spongi Reggae” appeared on an episode of The Bill Cosby Show and “Party in Session” in the movie 1980′s North Shore. BLACK UHURU madereggae history when they won the first ever Grammy Award for reggae music in 1984 for the album Anthem Shortly after the grammy Michael Rose went solo. Another Waterhouse resident named Delroy “Junior” Reid became the new lead singer. They released two albums Brutal and Positive. The Brutal album was nominated for a grammy. They filmed three music videos for the tracks “Fire City” “Brutal”, and “Great Train Robbery”, that track also played on a popular video game Grand Theft Auto. Sadly in 1990, due to ill health, Sanda “Puma” Jones passed away of cancer. Junior Reid shortly went solo. Then the original three re-united. They released four albums Now, Iron Storm, Mystical Truth and Strong. Each album was nominated for grammy. They made an award winning music video for the track “Tip Of The Iceberg” featuring rap star Ice-T in 1992. Eventually splitting up again. Carlos & Dennis left again & Duckie stayed again. This time there was a lawsuit brought amongst the group over the band’s legal rights in Los Angeles county court. Derrick Simpson won.
As the new millennium approached there came a new lead singer yet again from Waterhouse named Andrew “Bee’s” Beckford. They released two albums. Unification was produced by King Jammy & Dynasty was produced by Fitzroy Francis & Duckie. They went on a worldwide tour featuring Sly and Robbie and had the famous producer Scientist as its road engineer. Andrew Bee’s then went solo. In 2007 Duckie & Michael Rose reunited after twenty years. They performed in Jamaica and did one international tour and released the single “Dollars”. In 2011 Duckie reunited with Andrew Bee’s after ten years. He added female backing vocalist Kaye Star and began touring again performing in South America & America. BLACK UHURU recently performed in a Broadway Musical. The red carpeted event “Loving the Silent Tears: A New Musical” premiered October 27th 2012 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles Ca. They were invited to represent reggae music and performed a new track “Make A Deal”. And in Las Vegas Nevada BLACK UHURU was recently honored for its contribution to the entertainment industry. August 31st if now officially “Black Uhuru Day” in the city of Las Vegas. BLACK UHURU’s long success has allowed them to become ambassadors of reggae while earning several achievements in the music industry. With 14 full length albums, 7 instrumental dub albums, and 4 live albums they have the highest record sales in reggae music behind Bob Marley. The album Red was voted #23 for Rolling Stone’s list of “100 Greatest Albums of the 1980′s. Aside from winning the first reggae grammy they have been nominated 5 more times. They are the only reggae group to have won the Diamond Awards of Excellence in 1994.
Despite all of BLACK UHURU’s change of different singers and musicians the one thing that has always remained is Derrick “Duckie” Simpson. Much respect to a legendary figure for Reggae Music. In 2018, Black Uhuru released “As The World Turns” featuring Duckie on lead. In December 2018 “As The World Turns” was nominated for the 61ST Annual Grammy Awards. In 2020 as the world shut down with the Covid Pandemic, Black Uhuru steadfastly worked on a brand new album titled "New Day" to be released on LAW Records on Sat May 14, 2022. ABOUT ISRAEL VIBRATION
The story of reggae group ISRAEL VIBRATION starts with an outbreak of polio in Jamaica in the 1950s, after a shipment of clothing carrying the virus arrived on the island from England. Stricken with the virus, Lascelles “Wiss” Bulgin, Albert “Apple” Craig, and Cecil “Skelly” Spence spent several years at the Mona Rehabilitation Clinic on the outskirts of Kingston, where they began to show an interest in music. As teenagers, they started to adhere to the teachings of Rastafari, which eventually got them thrown out of the clinic, and the three found themselves without a home. This inspired their first songs, with the three creating harmonies where each member took a turn singing lead, with the other two provided a type of harmony where their voices would vibrate. This distinctive style and their membership in a Rastafarian organization known as the Twelve Tribes of Israel led to them taking the name Israel Vibration.
Jamaican producer Tommy Cowan brought them to a studio in Kingston to record their first LP, The Same Song. Released by EMI in England, the album brought them to worldwide attention; Bob Marley picked them as his favorite group and had them play on his shows in Kingston. Their next album, Unconquered People, was recorded at Bob’s Tuff Gong Studio and featured many of the Wailers as musicians.
After splitting with Cowan, the group, frustrated with the Jamaican music business and the difficulties of living on the island with polio, came to Brooklyn. In 1987, the members of the group approached Doctor Dread from RAS Records to see if the label would sign them as solo artists. Doctor Dread was firm in his response: “Marcus Garvey always said that ‘Unity is strength,’ and if you reunite, RAS would be willing to relaunch your career as Israel Vibration.” In 1988, RAS recorded Strength of My Life, the first of eight albums by the group for the label. In 1998, Apple Craig decided to again pursue a solo career; Skelly and Wiss continue to record and tour as Israel Vibration and have released three more albums for RAS and the new Live & Jammin DVD with an accompanying CD.
ABOUT ROOTS RADICS
The Roots Radics Band was formed in 1978 by bass player Errol "Flabba" Holt, guitarist Eric "Bingy Bunny" Lamont and drummer Lincoln "Style" Scott. The nucleus of Holt and Lamont had previously worked together in the group The Morwells and in the backing band for Prince Far I called The Arabs. They were joined by many musicians, including guitarist Noel "Sowell" Bailey, Dwight Pinkney and Steve Golding, keyboard player Wycliffe "Steelie" Johnson, Pianist Gladstone "Gladdy" Anderson and saxophonist Headley Bennett. As a combined force the Roots Radics became a well-respected studio and stage band, which dominated the sound in the first half of the 1980s. In addition to their own catalogue, they have worked with artists such as Bunny Wailer, Gregory Isaacs, Michael Prophet, Eek-A-Mouse, and Israel Vibration.
In 1979, the band recorded the riddims for Barrington Levy's first songs for producer Henry "Junjo" Lawes, credited at the time as the Channel One Stars. As a sought after studio lineup, Roots Radics backed several reggae stars in the studio and on tour. For example, they appear on several Eek-A-Mouse albums: Bubble Up Yu Hip (1980), Wa-Do-Dem (1981), Skidip (1982), The Mouse and the Man (1983) and Assassinator (1983). They backed reggae superstar Gregory Isaacs on his album Night Nurse (1982), and are often credited on releases by Prince Far I, both on his solo recording work, and as part of producer Adrian Sherwood's studio supergroup Singers and Players. Johnson went on to become half of the production duo Steely and Clevie. Bailey died of cancer in July 2014, aged 61, Lincoln 'Style' Scott was shot dead in his home 9 October 2014. In 2019 they received their first Grammy nomination for the album The Final Battle: Sly & Robbie vs Roots Radics, a collaboration with Sly & Robbie that was produced by Hernan "Don Camel" Sforzini.

About Club d'Elf ( clubdelf.com)
Club d'Elf has been helping audiences lose track of time for twenty five years with its mesmerizing synthesis of Moroccan traditional music and electronic, dubbed-out funk. Circling about bassist/composer Mike Rivard and drummer Dean Johnston, each Club d'Elf performance features a different line-up, drawn from a constellation of some of the most creative improvisers from the jazz, DJ, rock & world music scenes of Boston, NYC and beyond. The band's music draws from a startlingly wide spectrum of styles, including jazz, hip hop, electronica, avant garde, prog-rock and dub. Under the tutelage of member Brahim Fribgane (who hails from Casablanca) the band has absorbed Moroccan trance music, which is now an essential part of the mix. Diverse audiences are drawn to Fribgane’s mesmerizing oud stylings, and Rivard’s commanding playing of the Moroccan sintir. Trance forms the central core of the Club d’Elf aesthetic, weaving together the band’s various influences.
In April 2022 the band released its latest album, 'You Never Know', which rose to #2 on the Relix chart. The record unfurls upon kaleidoscopic clouds of spiced smoke, shifting from chopped dub-jazz through trance epics that reimagine Boston as a city of bazaars. Club
d’Elf pay tribute to the music and musicians who have been primary influences, with half the album being covers of gnawa, Miles Davis, Joe Zawinul, Moroccan band Nass el-Ghiwane, and Frank Zappa. The other half consists of original music inspired by Rivard's personal journey into darkness following a near death experience in the remote jungle of the Peruvian Amazon.
"You Never Know is a wide ranging romp, full of serenity, chaos, longing, improvisation and peerless musicianship inspired by music from India and Morocco as well as the maverick jazz of Miles Davis and Frank Zappa." - Banning Eyre, Afropop Worldwide
